An exciting new chapter for the Roseland Peninsula’s longest-established independent estate agency
H Tiddy is delighted to announce the promotion of David Hoskings to Head of H Tiddy, recognising his contribution to the business and growing role within the Roseland property market.
Dave joined H Tiddy this year with ten years of estate agency experience, specialising in prestige waterside and country homes throughout Cornwall. His appointment marks an important next step for H Tiddy as the business builds on more than a century of estate agency heritage on the Roseland Peninsula. Dave also has strong family connections to the area, particularly around Veryan, giving him a genuine understanding of the communities and way of life that make the Roseland so distinctive.
“I’m absolutely delighted to take on the role of Head of H Tiddy,” said Dave.
“H Tiddy has an exceptional reputation across the Roseland, built through local knowledge, experience and, most importantly, the relationships we have with our clients.
“Since joining the company, I have been incredibly impressed by the work ethic and team spirit. There is a real collective determination to drive the business forward, deliver for our clients and ensure no sales opportunity is missed.
“What has also stood out is how a business with more than a century of heritage continues to evolve. There is enormous attention to detail, combined with a willingness to embrace new technology and adapt our marketing to changing client and buyer behaviour.
“Social media, video and digital marketing are increasingly important, while AI-powered search through platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Google is changing how people discover and research property. We are continually looking ahead to ensure our clients’ properties remain visible wherever potential buyers are searching.
“Coupled with our Fine & Country association, which gives selected properties national and international exposure, we have a powerful combination of genuine local expertise, highly polished professional marketing and global reach.
“For me, the Roseland is also very personal. My family has strong connections to the area, particularly in Veryan, so I feel incredibly fortunate to be building my career here.
“I’m looking forward to taking greater responsibility for the day-to-day running of H Tiddy, working alongside Mark and our fantastic team of Natalie Andrew, Gail Chenoweth, John Holman and Helen Worton, with another experienced Valuer / Negotiator joining us shortly. My priority will be to protect what makes H Tiddy special while continuing to move the business forward.”
Mark Willson, Director of H Tiddy, said:
“Dave’s promotion is thoroughly deserved. He initially reached out to me when we weren’t looking to recruit someone with his level of experience, but it quickly became apparent that we could not afford to let someone of his calibre pass us by.
“Dave is a natural negotiator, and that instinct is something you simply cannot teach. He listens to people, understands what really matters to them and has a genuine ability to match buyers with the right property. Combine that with his local market knowledge, he has quickly become an important part of H Tiddy”.
Mark went on to say: “I am certainly not stepping back. I still get the same buzz from agreeing a sale and love being at the sharp end of the business, meeting clients, valuing properties and negotiating sales. Dave’s appointment gives me even more opportunity to focus on those areas while continuing to support and develop our team.
“It’s a very exciting time for H Tiddy,” Dave added. “We have a respected and talented team, an incredible area to work in and a business with a fantastic reputation. I am genuinely excited about what we can achieve together.”
