Fine dining Michelin star and celebrity chef restaurants are in abundance, including Rick Stein (Falmouth and Padstow), Jamie Oliver (Fifteen), Nathan Outlaw (Port Isaac), Paul Ainsworth (Padstow), and the Roseland's own Chris Eden at the Driftwood, Rosevine.
Herons Reach is a spacious property built in approximately 1985 offering highly flexible accommodation. This imposing family residence is located 350 yards from the launching slip and boatyard for the keen sailor. Its overall design echoes that of the elegant 1930's designs by Cornelius and is such to maximise the views. The views are breathtaking and encompass the Percuil River and the delightful part-wooded National Trust countryside beyond, views that will be there in perpetuity.
Herons Reach boasts 4/5 bedrooms, 3 en suite bath/shower rooms and 3/4 reception rooms which is likely to appeal to the discerning buyer. It is surrounded by approximately half an acre of gardens which provide both privacy and full sun all day. Our client painstakingly designed the gardens to maximise the best use of the Cornish sunshine and fabulous views. Delightful riverside and countryside walks are on the doorstep.
The property offers quality internally and externally, suiting the buyer looking for a 'wow' factor residence that encompasses the epitome of both formal and informal family living. The property features cut slate window sills, UPVC windows and doors, and Celuka fascia and barge boards. It also has sealed unit double glazing, en suite facilities to the principal bedrooms, oil fired central heating with thermostatic control valves to the majority of radiators, hardwood interior doors, and has high quality fittings throughout. This includes a designer kitchen with Corian work surfaces and beech flooring to the reception hall. The gardens, extensive terracing and garaging all compliment the house itself, which has been maintained to a very high order. The whole property presents a very attractive appearance and is completely ready to move into and enjoy.
From Freshwater Lane (private road) a curving tarmac drive with a local stone wall on one side leads between well tended landscaped gardens with flowering shrubs to the double garage and to the parking / turning area. From here twin flights of steps with local stone retaining walls lead to the full width front terrace, steps and sun terrace having glazed and wooden balustrades. There is also a ramp from the driveway around the back of the garage up to the terrace. The terrace gives access to the front portico, to patio doors from the lounge and from the kitchen / breakfast room to the breakfast patio, and to paved pathways around each side of the house.
