A spacious ground floor apartment with parking and outstanding panoramic views, located in one of the quietest areas in the village, within a 150 yard walk of the exclusive waterfront and Tavern Beach.

Introduction

This rare opportunity has been in the loving ownership of our clients for the last 22 years. The apartment is very pleasant, has double glazed windows, and is warmed by night storage off peak heating. The fitted carpets and curtains are included in the guide price and all contents and furniture, with the exception of personal belongings, are available by separate negotiation.

The Views

The captivating views encompass the Percuil River, Summers Beach, St Anthony National Trust Headland, St Mawes Harbour, across Falmouth Bay to the Lizard Peninsula, St Mawes and Pendennis Castle and miles of open sea. For much of the year there is a grandstand view of a variety of fascinating sailing and other marine activity.

Summary

The apartment is equally suitable as either a permanent or holiday home. For the privacy and quietness of the Pen Eglos homeowners, the lease restricts the apartments from being commercially holiday let. Offered with no onward chain, an early appointment to view is recommended.

St Mawes

This enchanting south facing harbour village is found on the eastern side of the Fal Estuary, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with much of its surroundings owned by the National Trust. The village is centred round its quaint harbour, its own beaches and Castle. It has a good wide range of amenities, which are open all year, including butchers, bakers, convenience store, post office / newsagent, doctors, hairdressers, dentist, pharmacy, village hall, church, delicatessen and clothing shops including Fat Face. The village also has two public houses, and an excellent range of cafes, restaurants, art galleries, gift and ice cream shops. St Mawes has long been one of the West Country's more desirable and exclusive destinations, with Olga Polizzi's Hotel Tresanton and the recently re-modelled Idle Rocks Hotel both luring the rich and famous. The village has superbly varied and accessible sailing waters and an active sailing club.

Cornwall

In a wider context, Cornwall has been enjoying a renaissance offering a range of accessible attractions such as the Eden Project, the National Maritime Museum, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Tate Gallery and Truro Cathedral. Fine dining Michelin star and celebrity chef restaurants are in abundance, including Rick Stein (Padstow), Nathan Outlaw (Port Isaac), and Paul Ainsworth (Padstow).
